After a youth filled with skateboarding left me with knees and
ankles made from glass and balsa wood, I stumbled upon cycling to
get a little fitness and rehab my poor lower half. Shortly after I
began, I was introduced to the Reno Wheelmen. Hundreds of races
later, and a couple years older and wiser, I'm now holding down a
spot on Team Clif Bar Cycling and venture over the hill every
chance I get to tackle criteriums or suffer through road races. In
the off-season, I like to switch gears and adopt the role of a
downhill mountain biker, which gets me excited for road cycling
come January. This season I'm looking forward to doing it all over
again, especially
while leading IndoorPower classes and coaching some of the
soon-to-be-the-best in Reno.
