CJ Dudley
It all started in May of 2008 when I bought my first road bike -
a Scott Addict. The bike was light, I was fresh off a career as a
successful ski racer, and I thought I was a big deal. I entered my
first Reno Wheelmen Twilight Race and got dead last in the slowest
category. Humbling to say the least, but it gave me drive and
motivation to continue racing. Fast forward three years and
countless hours dressed in a lycra costume and here I am - a
sometimes competitive Nor-Cal crit monkey racing for Team Clif Bar.
There's nothing I long more than a fast, technical crit with a
corner at 150m to go. My focuses for this season include improving
my road racing skills, learning and applying coaching principles,
and most importantly surviving my first year of grad school.
Some notable 2011 results include:
