Since IndoorPower's inception in 2006, I have further developed
and refined IndoorPower's training methodology based on the level
of improvement observed in those riders who consistently attend the
structured coaching classes on a weekly basis.
By basing IndoorPower's training paradigm on the research and
practical application of some the most notable and successful
coaches and sports scientists in the field of cycling coaching,
e.g. Hunter Allen, Andrew Coggan, Chris Carmichael, Stephen Cheung,
Joe Friel, Josh Horowitz, Gale Bernhardt, & Andy Applegate to
name some of my most prominent influences, my coaching philosophy
has centered on getting the greatest benefit from the least amount
of training. Most, if not all, riders who attend IndoorPower
classes work full-time jobs, have families to support, and can
dedicate only so much time to training. I do not, however, see this
as an insurmountable limitation in terms of achieving modest to
substantial success in any rider's competitive or recreational
cycling endeavors. Give me as few as 2 hours a week to dedicate to
intensity and I will make you a stronger more
capable rider.
And I don't just preach this approach but have also vastly
improved my own cycling capabilities over the past 5 years by
personally subjecting myself to trial-and-error training techniques
and retaining and building upon those methods that bring about the
greatest fitness improvements in the least amount of training
time.
